Nadezhda (Nadya) Gorshkova is an independent film producer with a strong background in acting, theatre studies, and film history. A graduate of the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, she later continued her education in the United States, the Moscow RATI–GITIS Master’s program, and most recently earned an International Master in Media & Entertainment at Rome Business School.

Over her career, Nadya has worked across film, television, and theatre, developing a sharp artistic instinct and a disciplined, international approach to production. Her films have received more than 40 awards worldwide, including major prizes at Karlovy Vary, Shanghai, APSA, BIFF, and the International Press Academy (Satellite Award).

As the founder of Pygmalion Film Productions, she collaborates with filmmakers across Europe, the UK, Georgia, South Africa, Cyprus, Croatia, and the United States — focusing on emotionally resonant stories, strong creative teams, and high-quality international co-productions.

She is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), and the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) Academy.

Nadya lives in Cyprus and works in English and Russian.
